Nozzle Ionizers
SMC offers two industrial static control options for compact or confined target treatment areas. The IZN Nozzle Ionizer is a palm-sized, self-contained static control device with a cable for PLC I/O and power supply connections. The IZT43 pairs a smaller ionizing head with separate power supply and control modules, for even more confined applications up to 3m from the operator's workstation.
IZN10E, Ionizer, Nozzle Type
The IZN10E is a palm-sized nozzle ionizer featuring a built-in high-voltage power supply. It projects a targeted, pneumatic cone of static eliminating ions for small items from up to 20 inches away. It is available with high-flow nozzles, energy-saving nozzles, or threaded ports to attach specialized accessories. Since the power supply is built directly into the unit, it eliminates the need for external high voltage cables. In the medical device packaging, optical manufacturing, and precision machining industries, solves the common problem of static cling causing microscopic dust and debris to stick to sensitive parts right before packaging or assembly.
IZN10E, Emitter Cartridge Assembly
Replacement emitter cartridge for the Series IZN10E nozzle ionizer. This is an easy maintenance product because it is possible to replace the emitter without removing the body.
IZT43, Nozzle Ionizer, Separate Controller and Power Supply Module
Unlike the IZN10E, the IZT43 separates the compact ion-emitting nozzle head from the controller and power supply, making it small enough to be installed in very tight clearances. One master controller can manage and power up to 4 separate nozzle heads, the nozzle can be located nearly 10 feet away from the controller, and is capable of projecting neutralizing ions up to 6.5 feet. The IZT43 makes it possible to fit standard eliminators into dense robotic cells or cramped machinery. It also solves the problem of operators not being able to access the ionizer's controls, since the controller can be mounted safely at the operator station.
IZT43-L, Nozzle Ionizer, Separate Controller and Power Supply Module with IO-Link
The IZT-L is the smart-factory upgrade to the standard IZT43 system. It features the exact same separated nozzle and controller layout, but adds IO-Link network compatibility, allowing the ionizer system to communicate directly with a factory’s central PLC. It can report maintenance warnings, communicate failures, and allow operators to adjust ion generation parameters remotely from a central dashboard.
IZTN43, Nozzle Ionizer
The IZTN43 is the physical nozzle head that emits the static-neutralizing ions. It is the only part of the system that needs to be positioned directly at the target area. It's extremely compact and acts as the business end of the static system.
IZTP, High-voltage Power Supply Module
The IZTP power supply module is the high-voltage electrical source that generates the ionizing charge for the nozzle. It can generate ions in AC mode, DC mode, or Dual AC mode. You need one IZTP power supply module for every IZTN43 nozzle. Because it is separated from the nozzle, you can tuck it into an electrical cabinet or machine frame out of the way.
IZTC, Controller
The IZTC controller is the brain and user interface of the static control system. It features a display and button interface where operators can monitor static levels, adjust ion generation frequencies, check balance displays, and view maintenance alarms. It also handles the input/output signals to the factory's main computer or PLC. It can control up to four separate IZTP power supplies and nozzles and is designed to be mounted at the operator's workstation so they can easily adjust static parameters.
